Comparing Black Mirror to our Media.

I believe that the creators of black mirror are trying to show people if our technology ever got this intense, and it will. That the human race would end up like it is on the show. For a example, In the first episode everyone around Ash is completely addicted to technology that they are literally living in a virtual world, unlike Ash where he wants something natural that this world hasn't seen in so long. Now if you were born into a world like this i can understand why everyone likes it, but the first episode doesn't show enough evidence if they were or not they just know that they were moved there at some time. It does show how the human race is at that point because with out doubt i believe the outside world would be completely destroyed, and the rest of the human race is underground in these facilities. And then i would understand if there is nothing natural left then how could you find something natural? Which the only thing that would be natural in what Ash found was her voice. For another example, the second episode where her husband died and is now talking to him in a virtual reality on her phone shows how much people are addicted the phones today, not just in the future when we have that type of technology. And it also shows how much we would spend money on something just to communicate. Now i agree on this because too many people are actually addicted to their phones, A lot of parents are too. They would completely ignore their kids and be on their phone and won't hear a word they say, And it shows the kid a bit of depression and a uncaring side of things. It shows how parents care more about their Facebook posts or when they are going out to drink with their friends then actually caring for they things they created.

Some strange sort of Mini-Reviews.

Music
Music is a very important thing in our lives, where ever you go, what ever you play, There is music. It's like a easy way to your emotions, music is one of the biggest things to change a humans emotions, whether your happy or calm or your angry and sad. Every mall, almost every store, has music, It kinda feels like its product placement. We hear it so much that it formed to a life style now. The only thing music is not in are books. That's probably the biggest reason why books will die out soon, other than it being projected on a television.

Movies
Other than music, movies aren't displayed where ever you go. They're the human form of visual entertainment. It sets us into a mood depending on what movie we're watching. Some movies are so persuasive it feels like it could happen it real life. Movies can also be a form of socializing, a lot of people take there dates to movies. You don't necessarily need movies or that it's ruling your life. It's a controllable factor in your life. (unless your edwards) There just new story's or adventures you virtually take.

Vidya Games
Although video games aren't as important in life, They're still a important thing in some peoples lives. Some video games are so well done and relate-able, that it changes peoples lives. Video games are like a interactive movie, you get to choose where you go, what you want to do and how you look like. Except it takes a lot more time to create a good video game than a good movie. And you can always go to another game that fits your style. And some game creators make there games free, unlike all movies.

Blog post #4

For my media text, i picked Supernatural. Supernatural is genre bending in a way that not every episode is the same, it has its own meaning to the main story, while keeping in touch with the focus of the episode. It is also genre bending in a way that the director put every religious myths to add more of a story. Just like every episode, there is always a certain problem. For example a god breaks loose, demons go on a killing rampage, Go back in time to get ashes of a mythical bird. What is not so genre breaking is that most episodes when one is in trouble, the other one always comes in to save the day. But most of the unique problems they have every episode, it all somehow ties up into the story. I don't believe supernatural is strongly a single genre, That's why to me i believe is genre bending. The show is scary, yes of course, But it also has action, comedy and even romance. With every episode you never know what you will get next.
And sometimes they have to fight each other. The background of the story is pretty much Sam and Dean are hunters ever since they we're kids, they hunt monsters and mythical creatures to try to get peace in the world, some things never go there way, but in the end they always live, sometimes. That's a genre bending back story on it's own.

Blog post 1. -Media profile.

Blog post 1. - Media profile.

1. I believe that media is moderately important in my life. I never payed much attention to media as a kid or even in the present. although i do not have much care about media, i do believe it is important in everyone's life because it keeps us all in touch with the open world.

2.What types of media do you feel most passionate about or are most important to you?
-Music: I believe that music is something very important because its in everyone everyday life from listening it to the radio in a car to hearing it in commercials or tuning into your "ipod" or phone.
-Internet: Internet is important to most lives and is spreading rapidly around the world. It is important because our generation of kids is using it to create social lives and to, lets say play video games to express what person they are to others around the world.
-ADS: You would normally see ADS on you tube videos or some dirty webpages with plenty of viruses. Butt they have a big impact because some ADS you are forced to watch or for most people just open a new tab or walk away from the computer to avoid it. They're like the Internets skip-able commercials.

3.What are your thoughts on our modern pop culture?
Well pop culture has effected all of us in a way. Some are transformed by it, Some see there kids or grand kids get effected by it. And some of the transformations are bad and some are good. Some people just avoid it. There's always those typical groups of people that can not stop talking about whats hot on "Snapchat" or "vine" and all these different sources of media. Some media is effecting our population to become more immature which is never a good thing. I do love the new technology and how we can communicate in different ways, but not how people are using it. for example; Cyber bullying, its not much of a big deal anymore, like come on i think the era of bully's is over. Bully's have been kicked out, now it's just the nerds and the "popular". Now everything on the internet is either funny or just doesn't make sense. I use media mostly for enjoying myself by playing video games with friends and sometimes by myself and even entertain myself by watching some YouTube videos. I do not like the element of pop culture that makes everyone on your level immature so you have to be the one to deal with it. For example my sister (Savannah). She used to be fun a playful and now she met a couple of "new friends" and all of a sudden she thinks shes the most popular person in high school.

4. Pick a form of media you feel most passionate about.
Personally, i picked music because its been there longer than TV, Internet. When i was a kid and lived with my dad we moved a lot, So we often used the radio, which was often on a rock station. Rock has always been a huge impact on me because its pretty much been my memory. Its the thing that's been there for me and supported me in a way. AC-DC was my favorite band when i was a child because they always had that wacky side
